Project Overview

This project focused on improving the quality and productivity of Demineralized Water System No. 02 through a system upgrade. A Reverse Osmosis (RO) unit was installed as a pretreatment for ion exchange feed water to enhance feed quality and stabilize system performance. All activities were carefully planned and executed without disrupting ongoing plant operations. The upgrade supports long-term operational reliability and efficiency.

Project Objective
The main objective of this upgrade was to reduce the operational load on the ion exchange system by improving feed water quality. The RO pretreatment system was implemented to decrease regeneration frequency and chemical consumption while maintaining consistent demineralized water quality.

Project Scope
1. Engineering Assessment

• Evaluation of the existing demineralized water system condition and performance

• Identification of operational limitations and integration requirements

• Engineering design for RO system integration

2. RO System Installation & Integration

• Installation of the RO unit as pretreatment for ion exchange feed water

• Integration with existing piping, control systems, and process flow

3. Commissioning & Performance Testing

• System start-up and operational testing

• Verification of flow rate, pressure, water quality, and system stability
