SECTION 1 – GENERAL SPECIFICATION
1.1 SYSTEM OUTLINE
This specification covers the requirements for the design and supply of:
- Mobile Sewage Treatment Plant with total capacity 12 m3/day
Each plant consists mainly of:
- Ground/Equalization chamber
- Activated Sludge Tank system
- Blower
- Influent Pump
- Panel
The black and grey water from septic tanks is pumped and fed to the Bio filter system by submersible pump (automatic operation). In the Activated sludge tank, domestic waste water that contains BOD and COD is processed by bacteria and the BOD and COD level become lower and can fulfill the requirement of government.
Effluent that goes to the environment injected by oxidizing biocide to kill E- coli (pathogenic bacteria).
1.2 PROCESS DESCRIPTION
INTRODUCTION
Pollution caused by biological pollutants can affect water conditions in two areas:
- Pathogenic microorganisms that consume organic material requiring oxygen for the oxidation process. This can cause the oxygen contained in these waters is becoming less and less, so can result in aquatic life
- Organic material contained in waste water contains nutrients that can lead to the growth of algae or other plants can also remove oxygen from the waters, there was the cutting chain and change the balance present in the aquatic environment

EQUALIZATION CHAMBER (GROUND TANK)
Shock load can make microbio colaps, to prevent this , waste influent need to be homogenized. Equalization tank can prevent from microbio shock.
The Equalization tank/ground tank can also be anticipated in case of load fluctuations. This unit equipped with ventilation pipes for line up the gas formed. From this Separation Chamber, waste water will overflow into the Aeration Chamber
AERATION CHAMBER
In the Aeration Chamber occur in aerobic biological process which consists of bio media moving and rotating in the aeration basin and is designed to anticipate the problem of “shock load” that usually appears at the wastewater treatment process
using the bio media. This can happen because the aerobic processes in the activated sludge system can be quickly recovered when there is disruption of the system because the population of bacteria that grow and stick to the bio media is not borne out of the zone of aeration. Bacteria in the aeration basin is sufficiently and constantly process aerobically in the aeration basin, without depending of “return sludge” from the sedimentation tank.
Air supply flowed from air blower using pipe into the waste water, oxygen and waste water circulating through the media, so the bacteria embedded in the media will form metabolism with the waste water. In this unit, with a side shape of the sedimentation chamber, make it is possible for sludge return from the basin settling into the aeration basin, to restore some of the mud which is still active, in order to maintain the stability of the bacteria in the Contact Aeration Chamber, depending on conditions in the field. After going through the process of biological waste water will overflow into the sedimentation Chamber.
SEDIMENTATION CHAMBER
Is a basin where the separation of solid materials with process water, by gravity. The tub is designed in such a way that the solid material is collected at one point. Solid materials in the form of activated sludge. Activated sludge is a collection of microorganisms and microorganism-organic materials that are useful for food for aerobic bacteria contained in the aeration basin. This activated sludge will flow back to the Contact Aeration Chamber automatically because the side type of sedimentation Chamber itself. Water that has been separated from solid materials will be over flow to the gutter which is made such a way that only clean water can flow.
EFFLUENT CHAMBER
Before goes to environment, at the effluent chamber is injected or pour by chlorine tablet.
The end result of the process through the overflow pipe, and flows into the drainage.
